It is truly a bar. In the best definition of the word. Beer was nice and cold. Mixed drinks were nice and string. The prices were great. I ordered the cheeseburger, which IMO was absolutely DELICIOUS! Definitely will be going back for dinner and a drink.
A hole in the wall with big flavor and loyal community. The kitchen was small but impressive. They don't over think the menu and that's what works for me. Today I tried the menudo. Really flavorful.
I have been coming to this place for many many years and recently went back to meet friends for lunch. I ordered a cheeseburger which came with grilled onions and of course I asked for raw as well. I love onions! This burger was delicious it was so big and juicy, I could only eat half of it. The burger came with an order of fries which were nice and crispy. My friend had the steak sandwich and was very delighted with it. I will be back again soon to try other things on the menu. I highly recommend trying JD's for lunch!

Everyone knows each other, it's kinda crazy. The atmosphere is very inviting. Old school music plays as drinks are served. Amy the bartender does a fabulous job, taking care of everyones wants. The food is delicious. I've had the green pozole... it's out of this world good. I requested tacos dorados with carne asada with the works on Taco Tuesday. They hit the spot. There is a pool table & many tv's to watch the games. There are booths to sit at & eat. My overall experience was awesome. Thinking of having a gathering there.
Best dive bar around. Period. The food is tops. This was the best Steak Sandwich I've ever had and this fat bottom's tried his fair share. Cooked perfectly, grilled onions, fresh, crusty bun, mayo, tomatoes and a lil bit of fat for flavor plus it comes with fries AND a draft Bud Light for $15! Come on, man!!! Eat here. Drink here. If you see me here just leave me alone because I'll be eating and drinking my fill and I don't want to talk to you. Thanks.
My friend suggested this place because I was craving breakfast and thanks to him now know of this amazing spot in town...the vibe of this place has history and is in split between a sports dive bar & breakfast/lunch bar. There are both bar seats on each side and a few booths available. We got there just in time to have their steak and eggs & POZOLE...and both were delicious. My friend grabbed coffee from the bar side...food was on point and seems like we will most likely hit up this spot again. Thanks for staying open for us hungry hippos especially during this crazy pandemic and open today on a Sunday!
